Antivius for xp 64

Does anyone know of any antivirus that is 64 bit compatible ?
Norton and Mcafee don't have anything even in beta for personal use.

I thought xp 64 bit only need 64 bit drivers. it should be able to run most, if not all 32 bit programs fine.

checkout planetamd64.com apps thread for more info on this... there's a huge info string over there, but to sum it up:

trend micro/panda/norton none work on xp64... symantec has a 64-bit version, BUT it only works on itanium intel chips..

as it appears, mcafee 8 pro will install and work, but it's only an "on-demand" scanner (same with bitdefender, which is what I'm using on amd winxp 64-bit)... mcafee just whores cpu usage like crazy.

Actually, most Virus Scanners are implemented as file system filter drivers: so they should not, in fact, run fine on Windows 64-bit edition.

I'm researching to find out what we have run around our labs in the past.

According to AMD, only CA's eTrust 7.1 Beta and McAfee's VirusScan Enterprise 7.1 currently run on Win64.

Personally, I've only seen eTrust 7.1 running on the Win64 systems I've dealt with.
