Antivirus Protction Software Question

ok, if i have an antiviurs software like Norton, or like AVG, do i still need to have a firewall installed, like ZoneAlarm ?
or the AVG/Norton Software acts a firewall also, blocking possible hackers?

It would depend what he has Norton Antivirus does not include the firewall, Norton Internet Security (the firewall) includes AV.

sorry what I meant to say is if you have Norton antivirus installed why not use Norton for both? Meaning purchase the other and keep it simple, like when updating they will both update at the same time!
 
I use Norton's Internet Security on one of my machines and I like how everything's integrated. The ad blocker, the firewall, the anti-virus. Good stuff for (fairly) no-brainer protection.

When you install the anti-virus, go in and add a daily update check and change manual scans to scan "all files"
