Antivirus for 2K Server (or how do I trick Norton 2002 to install on server)

Looking for a good antivirus program for a 2K advanced server box. I have Norton 2002, but it aborts during install because it detects Server.

Is there anyway to "trick" Norton into doing the install anyway???

the NAV2002 corporate edition works great. it will scan the network for virus and send out messages to the computer that it detected a virus on.

Install it off the Norton AV folder. It doesn't check then.

Interesting.. You mean just go to the NAV folder on the cd and use the setup.exe from there? Are there any software problems caused by doing this? Do you know if it'll work for all versions of Windows? I want to use NAV2002 (from systemworks 2002) on Windows 2k server and Windows NT4 server.

Corporate Edition is expensive!! 😛

I tried what joohang said (installing it from the NAV folder) with no success. I still got the error message that it could only be installed on workstations not server. This is with Norton AV 2002.

I just gave up and put AVG on there. I'd still like to know if it possible, and how to get NAV2002 on 2kserver.

Thanks for the info. I ordered 2 less copies of Norton2002. I actually have NAV 2001 too, maybe I'll give that a shot on Win2k Server too next week.
