Well, I noticed the unbrella for the AntiVir tray is closed and I tried to activate the real time guard back with no success (it'd been grayed out). I had ZoneAlarm(free) and AntiVir(free) installed on this computer (XP Pro) a long time ago without any conflicts at all. I think it occured after AntiVir updated itself sometime yesterday..
What I tried was I:
Uninstalled AntiVir
ran CCleaner to clean everything
rebooted XP Pro in to safe mode
Installed the latest AntiVir
reboot, updated the definitions
The guard remained closed and I have no idea how to fix it.. any ideas?
