AntiVir - Pay version?

If you're going to purchase an AV I would look @ Kaspersky Personal v5. Kaspersky offers better detection than AntiVir, plus the GUI is easier to use and the definitions update every 3 hours.

Yeah, if you're going to buy an a/v as opposed to using a free a/v, then I'd recommend Kaspersky as well. Seems to be the best out right now and it's fairly user friendly.

Not alot of activity (in English) on the Antivir customer support board. I wasn't too comfortable with it. Using Avast! now.....lotsa customer support activity on their board.

I have a simple question for you security vets. I want to get Kaspersky but I would rather get a hard copy on disk. I know I could download it now, but if I download it will they send me a disk later or what? What is the best route to go to get Kas since nobody seems to carry it? Also, if I just get the download version, is it possible that malware could prevent the AV from ever detecting it?

*I also asked this in the pinned thread on this board, but the sooner I can get a knowledgable answer/explaination, the better.

Just burn it on a cd and there you go. :p
