Anti War Protestors - If you were in Bush's shoes, what would you have done about Iraq?

I'm just curious...

If you had the President's power, what would you have done about Iraq? Would you have increased the sanctions? Would you have ignored Iraq because you feel that they don't pose a threat, etc...


What would you have done differently?

What would you have done differently?

The President can't increase the sanctions, they were imposed by the UN.

I would have followed his same game plan, although I would have made France and the others state how much extra time would be acceptable before resuming the Gulf War. Even if I had to wait 2 more months, there is still no way Saddam would have complied fully.

then come back and tell us why you think that Bush should have afforded any more time to Saddam than Clinton did, and why the Clinton administartion was justified and Bush is not.

What would you have done differently?

They would have continued the inspections without going to war, and lifted the sanctions because the Iraqi people don't want to be free from their affectionate/humanitarian leader Saddam. Its the sanctions, not Saddam that is making the Iraqi people suffer
