Use a router as your perimeter firewall, and the Windows Firewall or another firewall in case someone hooks up an infected computer to your router
If you have a wireless router, secure it with a strong password, enable MAC filtering, and use the highest level of encryption it offers. If you don't actually use the wireless capability yourself, disable the wireless feature entirely.
Follow those tips, and your antivirus and antispyware programs are going to lead a dull life :evil:
