My uncle has had NOD32 2.7 since sometime last year (before that it was the Dell included McAfee). Well surprisingly NOD32 - IMON has been letting stuff get thru. I double checked the setting and there all set correctly, and he doesn't use Outlook. So, Im thinking about dumping Eset's product for AntiViri, or should I look elsewhere. He doesnt want to pay anymore money for Anti-Virus, so unfortunately Kaspersky is out the picture. :-(

Well, since he doesn't want to pay for antivirus, go with AntiVir which scores pretty high in some tests for a free product. Also, it is quite good at detecting trojans in downloads BEFORE the program runs. However, it doesn't have a setting for auto removal in Guard (residential), only in Scanner (on demand). You can schedule scans to auto delete infection. Your uncle can still override the Antivir Guard pop-up to run a questionable download.
