Anti-Virus Question

All my virus software is incompatible with Win XP Pro. I used to have Norton System Works 2000 and had Black Ice for my firewall. First of all, I know there used to be companies that offered a free anti-virus program that was pretty good. Does anything like that still exist? Lastly, I know XP comes with a built in firewall, but since I bought the Black Ice program, I kind of want to use it if I can. Would it be better than the windows firewall? (is it worth the trouble too?)

AVG Antivirus

i would use blackice, but then also use the free firewall Tiny Personal Firewall to complement it, since winxp's built in firewall is not too good.

If I wanted to get rid of / diable the windows firewall and put my own on. How would I do this?

right click my network places and there is a tab for advanced i think. away from my xp comp right now so cant tell you for sure. you just have to untick a checkbox to disable the buit-in one, then install your new one of choice.
