Guys I have avast internet security package. It is using 66% of my total RAM which is ALOT in my opinion.
Running games makes my laptop slow. I have 4GB ram with i5 and this SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!
Should I un install it? My laptop does get hot often. Should this be happening concidering I have 4GB RAM.
I saw the RAM usuage in the Rainmeter interface. I hope it is not correct 🙁

Are you sure that your AV program in particular is using all of the RAM? Or is that just the RAM usage that Windows shows? Remember that as an AV is scanning, Windows will cache those files, and take that away from free RAM.

I too run avast, and I am almost positive something on your computer is causing avast to run some almost do forever loops or something. But that is a good suggestion to go to avast forums as a good starting point.

You could also run Hijack this to see if you can identify a strange process.
