If the numbers in the OP are right, the violent rate actually went down by half, despite threats doubling and property damage increasing by a third. The FBI's numbers (not the ADL's, which are obviously going to have an inherent bias) generally show that offenses actually reported by police (and not self-reported) have a violent bias. This means a lot of these reports are at higher risk of being unverified and potentially fake.
