Proxomitron. Doesn't need to stop popup ads because they're removed before they ever get a chance to load. Gets rid of banners, annoying javascripts and basically every other nasty on the web as well :)

not free, but since I installed ZoneAlarm Pro, i haven't seen a popup for the last 6 months using IE at work. Thanks for the Google Bar comments, I had no idea it blocked ads.

If you'll be using IE, a good one is Zero Popup Killer. The downloadable file is only 140KB and the program(i.e. a dll file) only launches when IE is launched thus your precious resources are greatly conserved. :)

Almost all of the newer "alternative" browsers nowadays have this feature built-in so you need not worry.

You have to pay for it but Norton Personal Firewall blocks ALL ADVERTISEMENTS! For the most part.

I have google tb also.

I was wondering how they can do this for free. Does it send your info out to someone? How would I know it it did?
