today i found that i had little blots of stuff on my flat panel from eating and understand that i can't spray any regular ol' cleaner to clean it. so i want to just mount something over it so i can clean that instead from now on.

i've got a 19" planar and i don't really feel like paying $60+ for the pre-made anti-glare filters. i'd much rather just buy an uncut anti-glare plexiglass, or just any kind of alternative material, and then use velcro to attach it on my panel.

i've searched online for a while and haven't found anywhere that lets you order uncut anti-glare plexiglass panels. does anybody have any freakin' idea where to get these?? if you live in the bay area and could point me to a local hobby store, that'd be even better!

Umm, are you sure it's just food? I have a 19" KDS lcd monitor and to clean it I just use a wet paper towel or toiletpaper to clean it then dry it off. Same thing with my notebook lcd. I take it spooge is really hard to clean off lcd screens? J/K :D

oh ha--ha :p

i just don't feel like using the paper towel and cleaning it carefully etc etc everytime it gets dirty since the membrane feels pretty fragile. i'd rather just put some kind of hard transparent screen/filter/panel over it and just clean that regularly instead. and i'm guessing that kind of stuff will usually contribute glare unless it's anti-glare.
