Long range sniper rifle specific to the SAS and IDF, you won't find much info on it on the net if any, some here will be able to provide some info if you ask them, you won't get much more than range accuaracy and rate of range fire accuracy from me, it's higher, a LOT higher than anything comparable.

You can actually hit a 20cm target two miles away and kill it with EVERY shot at ALL times, the system comes with software for targeting and auto settings at any given range.

If you are one who leads any troops into an area, perhaps sitting still for 20 hr's plus then when it moves you need to know that every shot hits to go forward.

I've shot it a few times but i'm by no means an expert on the thing, i've got other things to do while it's in use.

Sounds like mo match.

I don't either. JoS once again showing off his superior knowledge of firearms.

Apparently...

Its not as secret as you twits make it seem, i'm fairly surprised that Nebor haven't heard about it given that he's let known that he has some connections with the IDF.

With all the chinese brands out now you can get a decent one for about $150. At only 300fps its not going to kill them but should be fun going full auto on them. And don't expect any kind of accuracy beyond 25 yards.

How about a .22? I saw a really wild load for a 22, rat shot. Probably wouldn't do so well on range though.

no need to shoot at crows at all. Get any gun and brandish it, point it at them.
They will not only leave but tell all the rest of the crows about it. Each time I have done that it lasts a few weeks. They are very smart.

Instead of spending $50 on a cheap plastic pellet gun get a piece of WW2 history and get a Mosin Nagant 91/30 from Big 5 for $99. That will show the crows who is boss.

My coworker once sprayed a crow with a hose. For 3 years every time he went outside all the crows in the neighborhood would recognize him and immediately start cawing at him.

you need to get a head shot if you use a bb gun. body shots don't penetrate.

22lr imo. or alka selzer <---myth busters says otherwise tho

Almost every year we get visited by "junior" for a week or two. "Junior" is a juvenile who gets out of the nest before it can fly.
The crows protect it on the ground, dive bombing our dog, even harassing us outside.
F that!
I get out the BB gun and point it at them. They move back and watch from a distance, and quiet down. Once "junior" is gone things get back to normal.
I had one crow that kept dive bombing the dog, he got popped with a low velocity BB. I did not see a crow here for a week or more, the word got out.

Crows are the spawn of satan, you need something that can penetrate their feathers that are as strong as dragons skin.

I would suggest something in at least the 308 winchester / 7.62 nato range. If that is unable to get the job done, upgrade to the 30-06, or something like a 300 winchester magnum.

Was thinking of getting a pellet/bb pistol, and I have a couple of questions. How many ft/sec would it take to kill, or almost kill a small varmint? If you were to simply give a rabbit a good thump with an airsoft would they learn to stay out of your garden? Once a co2 cartridge is loaded, how long can you store the pistol?

First of all, get that AirSoft crap out of your head. Wrong tool for the job, period.

I've just recently dealt with some marauding crows for my neighbors, who have chickens and guinea fowl and were losing a dozen eggs a day to those bastards (that's in addition to them going after trash containers and spreading garbage everywhere). My neighbors don't own anything other than an antique 20gauge that they are afraid to shoot.

Here's what you do: get your self a fake owl, as in a decoy. Crows have a genetic hatred of owls, think male lions and hyenas. Pretty much a attack/harrass on sight situation.

Make yourself a hide with a clear view to the decoy and surrounding structure, tree tops, roofs, etc. For my neighbors I simply sat in my truck with the tinted windows down just a couple inches.

The crows will swarm on the owl, and soon adopt a "sit nearby and scream at it" tactic. That's when you poke your 12 gauge, or in my case a .17HMR , and blast a few of them.

Retain a carcass or two and string them up in warning. The crows will see their dead buddies and give that area a wide berth from then.

When a group of them are sitting in a tree top, depending on the load a single blast of birdshot from a shotgun can drop several of them. I prefer quieter, more precise methods. I popped the heads off of two with that .17 some 3 weeks ago, then used bale twine to dangle them from a spruce tree near my neighbors barn. No more egg theft I'm told.

You can use a high powered air rifle too (I've sent zinc pellets straight through grouse with a modern Crossman before) and it would make the most sense if you have people close to your place as it's practically silent, but I think everyone should own at least one decent small rimfire rifle. Very useful, and a great survival tool as well.

good hunting!

I think the word you were going for is "blind."

If you those adult pellet guns from Big5 that shoot over 1000 fps I assume they would. I never tried though. Plus they are silent :)
