I see so many people(my roommate last year included) whine that people are always talking on their cell phones and that its so annoying. Tell me, if the person they were talking to was there and they were talking to them, would THAT be annoying? Of course not....so why is over a phone any different?

Because often times I see single people who would be walking around by themselves at that moment regardless of cellphone, except when they have the cell it's as if they are talking to somebody - so that makes everything louder.

Because ppl who talk on cell phones usually do it a lot louder then they would if the person is right there.

Also, it is rude to not pay attention to what is going on around you, which is usually the case with ppl, cause of talking on the phone.
