Sorry if this has been discussed a lot (i know it probly has) but ive searched and i cant find any so....

The COD 2 demo, king kong, and Kameo, on the 360 at EB games were soooo jagged, worse than the original xbox... It was running on a samsung 23 inch LCD HDTV... well i was wondering what was up with this... Was it that the demos just didnt have AA enabled, it was set up incorrectly at the kiosk, or that thats just how the games are ganna be like on the 360?

Thanks

I thought all games were required by Microsoft to have AA enabled?

I don't recall jaggies when I saw King Kong myself, it was fing beautiful.

Well you have to keep in mind that they are all 1st titles so they wont look all that great. I dont remember seeing any jaggies on KAmeo.... that looks like the best game at launch.

Nobody really knows right now. AA is supposed to be enabled for all games but it is clear from the COD2 demo that it isn't working well if it is enabled. Nobody is sure if it is because these are prerelease demos or not.

edit: But I wouldn't say that the jaggies were worse than the original Xbox. In fact, from the way the OP talks, it sounds like you were playing on one of the Wal-Mart demo units that weren't set up correctly (ie not running at 720p).

No the first titles are going to look great. I have heard from several people that the Kiosks have been set up wrong in some places which is the cause of the jaggies.

I'm betting it was just betas. Remember, back at E3 they didn't even have working units, so it's possible the kiosks are the same.

We'll know for sure in a little over a week. I don't know why people are so on the edge of their seat about this. I pre-ordered, highly doubt i'll get it on release day though.

There are A LOT of reports that the kiosks aren't being set up correctly. Everything from the incorrect cables being used, to the 360's software not being configured for 720p.

This would explain why some people post that the games look beautiful, while another person will post jaggies galore.

ok thanks... i guess it was set up wrong cause when i saw it i was like "WOOAAHHH COD2 looks like pong (maybe a bit overdone) compared to COD2 on my PC so im not ganna jump out and get an xbox 360 if my system is on par with the next gen"...

just wondering... Queasy said that its cause they might of not been running in 720p, so does that mean that all non HDTVs are ganna be jagged?

480i won't look as good as 720p but I'm not sure how much of a difference the 4xAA will make in reducing jaggies in that situation. We will just have to wait and see.
