So he made it official via youtube.

In the latest primary poll he is currently running 2nd. A few thoughts about this.
Is this really the best Dems in NY can do? I would like to think standards can be raised a little higher then Republicans.
Has family values been scrubbed from the political lexicon? Thanks to in part to the latest shining example Mark Sanford? Obviously GOP voters don't really care about these kinds of things. I'm referring to the illegalities not just sex.
If you look at the escapades of David Vitter, Elliot Spitzer, Mark Sanford and Anthony Weiner, AW was the only one who got a raw deal. There were no illegalities and no sex. In fact the Dems have dealt far more honorably with the aftermath then the Republicans.
The one thing I miss about Weiner, he is a pitbull in dealing with Republicans in Congress and will not hesitate to slap around the CEC when interviews get a little too biased. A Dems pitbull is needed to counteract the many crazy Republicans.
All being said if I lived in NYC I would consider voting for him. Admittedly the newspaper headlines will by funny and possibly cringe worthy.
