Antec, where have the deals gone? :-(

I finally decided to build a new computer after seeing months of $40-50 sonata II deals from frys.com and the like. NOw, it seems that they have all dried up.

I hvae checked the usual deal forums (FW, XP, etc.) anyone hear of arecent deal on the sonata II or III? ANd yes, the damned newegg/PP just expired. Myluck...

Thanks for any help and yes, I do enjoy the "look for damn self" replies, so shoot me one of those too 🙂

My ideal case is the sonata II or even a 180, but I'm really looking for a mid.

I found this $40AR case - any experience guys? I have a PSU I can swap for the 380 watter included

How about the antec 900? Its still on sale @ newegg

Although, the cable management doesnt exist in the case.

I just checked it out and I was looking at a little less bling and would concentrate on noise vs. performance. Gotta give them credit though, I don't think they could have squeezed another fan in the 900.

The Sonata II has weird HDD cooling (fan mounts to back of cage) which takes up even more of the little available depth. I just bumped my Rosewill thread so it'll be right on the first page of the section for a while. provantage.com and amazon.com usually have some of the best Antec prices around.

Thanks - I ordered the one with the rebate, just ~$5 difference, no biggie. I'll keep that page flagged though, I have no problem with a dented case.
