Antec Twelve Hundred Full Tower

The drive cables that come with most mobos are the standard 18-19" long. If you need longer, buy longer cables (up to 36" are commonly available). Don't mess with extensions.

Yeah, you should be fine with standard cable length. I could have gotten away with using smaller cables in my 1200, but, I didn't have any. Even routing the cables through some of the holes in the mobo wall, and then back in, I still have plenty of cable slack left.

It's a big case, but there are bigger cases out there. You shouldn't have any problems. I would be slightly more concerned about length of your PSU cables.

Edit: Also, I'm not sure if there are any Microcenters near you, but you can pickup the 1200 for $169 from them. They were $159 when I bought it.

When did simply having great airflow become a questionable matter?

You don't think the extra cooling comes in handy when you can fit 6 HDDs in it? Or say you've got a HD4870? And an overclocked CPU?
