Hey all,

the two PSU's Antec truepower new 650W and 750W have four 12V rails i think? Am i right?

12V1 12V2 12V3 12V4

for the 650W version, 12V1 and 12V2 are rated at 22A with 12V3 and 12V4 at 25A.

for the 750W all of them are rated at 25A .

my question - the PSU has four 12V rails, for both of them you connect your GPU to 12V3 and 12V4 and they are rated at 25A each. So would that be able to support a GPU that uses at MAX 50A?
The 750w version also has 12V3 and 12V4 rated at 25A making a total of 50A.

Im confused about this - what would the max amperage draw be for the GPU? the 650W has 94A on the 12V rails added up and the 750W has 100A on the 12V rail when added up.

can some explain the difference?

Max draw for GPU is supposed to be 75W each for the PCIe slot and 6 pin connector, and 150W for 8 pin connector.

12V3 and 12V4 each support a GPU with an 8 pin connector and a 6 pin connector.

Note that the total 12V amperage available is much less than the total of the rail maximums.

I am totally asking the same question but I put it in the wrong forum.
