Antec TruePower 550 won't boot my System!

I just got an Antec TruePower 550 from buy.com today, put it in my system and tried to boot it up ... it started the fans and was just starting to spin the HDD but after a few seconds everything turned off!!! I really don't know why? Now I am using a cheap generic 400W PSU (like before) and I do not have any problems at all with it. Is the Antec PSU broken or what is wrong with it? Do I need to return it to buy.com? Thanks in advance.
