I picked up another TRUEPOWER430 from Best Buy today. I'm curious if the one I have is defective so I was going to try another one. However, I'm hesitant to open it and get the same results. Does anyone else have this low voltage issue with their TruePower 430 ?? It's really annoying when it dips to 11.55V under load.

Have you checked results with multimeter to make sure that it's not just a probe issue?

u should return it and get an enermax. i had an antec before, wasn't too satisfied with voltages.
btw, what voltages are using for ur 2.8 @ 3.37? i can't seem to get 3.4 stable.

^ word  Software and BIOS readings are not always a reliable means of determining voltages. I have a whole fleet of TruePowers down at work and the mobos all think the 12V line is at 11.3-11.4. Well guess what... a check with the multimeter confirms that the mobos are smokin' crack :D

Also, if your 11.55V reading is accurate, it's well within the ±5% spec for ATX power supplies (official ratified ATX specs) and only slightly outside of the advertised ±3% load regulation that Antec spec'ed. :) Anyway, you can always call Antec and RMA if you confirm with a multimeter that it isn't within advertised specs... I have little doubt they'll take care of it.

check it with a multimeter.

my 12 volt rail is reading 11.2 by my mobo but when i measured it with a multimeter, it was 12.35.

btw, the antec 430w is a great psu...

i have one with these rails:

3.45
5.20
12.4

:)

then again i did physically mod my psu to get these rails...

most likely, you got voltage drops on your motherboard before it reaches the sensor.. another place for voltage drops is your motherboard atx power connector. But your psu should be supplying 12.05 volts even.
