Antec true power 330 review at OCAddiction

thx for the post... I've been considering a truepower for like 4 months... still can't make a decision 😛

Go for it dude. The TruePowers are some of the best PSUs you can get. I use them on all my builds. They are very high quality, are quiet and have those thermally-controlled fan connectors.

Yeah, I kicked the idea around in my head for several months before I finally broke down and got one (430w TruPower). Now that I did, I kick myself for not doing it sooner. Best PSU I've used to date.

They are among the best of the best, not a doubt. Only thing I don't like about them is I wish they had a manual override for the fans to make them go faster. They could go faster and still be quiet while helping to cool the case and power supply better, plus everyones hearing tolerance is a bit diferent. It just concerns me some because the air coming from the ps is always hot.

Certain newer enermax power supplies have manually adjustable fans, but not temp controlled. Coolmax has a new one out now that has both, low, high and auto (temp controlled). But the one that tested a little better and that I'd choose (and use) is the antec true.

YO! Now you be talking. 🙂

One small suggestion if it's not too late. Maybe make if for a 3.5" bay? Most have one empty and usually have the larger bays full.

Either way that IS a very cool idea and one that I'm sure will be popular with overclockers. And those of us who love gadgets like that.

anyone got the specs on the dBa of the PSU? Is it quieter than quietpc's PSU which is less than 27 dBa?

DOn't know decibels, but i have the 430 (or 440 ?) watt version in my computer and it is SILENT. Literally inaudible.

Seeing that my quietpc psu is quieter than the Zalman and the Zalman is quieter than the Antec, I'll stick will my quietpc psu for now. 🙂

It's dead silent to the point you don't think it is even on 😉
