Building a new system and was wondering if I need the Larger 430 or is the 330 fine for these specs:
MSI KT3 Ultra 2 or MSI KT400 MB (undecided), AMD 1600 OC to 1.7 or 1.8, Corsair or Crucial 512mb 2700, GF4 4200 128mb, LiteOn 16x DVD and 40x CDRW, one WD 40GB HD (might add a 2nd HD later), On board Sound, On Board Lan, Evercase case, Prob 3 Fans. I may add a video editing card later. I use the system primarily for gaming and dont OC much except for the CPU which I plan on OCing to 1.8.
Just wondering if I could get by with the 330 True since I am try to keep costs down but don't want to come up short and have stability problems down the line.

The TP330 is almost as powerful as Antec's old 400W unit, if you look at its total available wattage on the 3.3V and 5V lines (which are now independent of eachother). All the same, when you consider that your motherboard will take the Barton-core AthlonXP's up to ?3000+? down the road, and considering the general trend towards more power every year, maybe the 430 would have a longer useable lifespan. The PSU's have 3-year warranties, and think how computers have changed over the last 3 years :D

well hopefully the connectors on power supplies won't change over the next few years, so buying the True430 will give you greater overhead to expand and upgrade, rather than having to buy a new PSU if and when you upgrade. So spend some bucks now, and save having to buy a new one later.

If you have no plans to upgrade whatsoever, then you can't go wrong with the True330. It will run everything you've listed without a problem

Go for the True 430. It is the best powersupply I have ever owned. Silent and powerful as hell!
