Got the Antec SX830 case about 2 months ago & have system built (Athlon 1.2 gig).

Using the top two 5.25" bay for a CD-RW and a DVD-ROM. Minor problem is, the drives are
not "flush" or even with the unoccupied bottom 5.25" bay. There is about a 1/4 inch that the drives
stick further in than the unoccupied bay. So I just slide the drives out a bit to make it flush, but
sometimes I push into the drives and they slide the extra 1/4" inward... kinda annoying...

Haven't messed w/ it much after I installed things... but took me a while to figure out how to put
the plastic rails onto the CD-RW & DVD-ROM drives to slide them into place... am I doing something
wrong for them to not be flush? I thought I tried sliding the plastic rails either in or out before I tightened
the screws to try to make them flush... but seemed not to have the right holes...

Try putting the rails on different. I have the same case and it lines up fine. My friend has the same case and his is fine too.

I have the same case and haven't had any problems mounting the drives. Double check how you have the drive rails mounted...
