Antec SX1045BII $79.99 Closeout at Best Buy B&M

I saw 2 of these at Best Buy, $79.99 on closeout...this is an older model so YMMV.

The 450 watt PSU is worth $60-$70 by itself.

I just picked up one of these this morning. The SKU is #6438553 and you have to call around to see which BestBuy has one left in stock. I got the last one at the store I went to, although other Atlanta stores still have a couple left. It has the 450 watt smartpower power supply, 2 extra cooling fans, and lots of space for internal drives etc. It's not a small unit because it will accept an extended ATX mother board. Thanks for the info BentValve.

Just was about to post the heads up and then remembered to search.

I think this is an amazing case for the money. Good size (roomy), nicely crafted, good overall design, and everything seems very easily accessible. It came out to be 83.99 for me with tax, and IMO, at that price, its still better than most of whats in that price range.

You never know.

I used to work at Best Buy and stuff would sit for weeks and weeks, sometimes months, on clerance. It usually takes the corp office a while to finally send out the word for everything to be shipped back. I'd guess they would wait as long as possible on this because 1) its a big bulky item 2) there is a relativley low stock on these on a per store basis and as such there wont be tons of clutter because they are on clerance and 3) From 11 through 12 months of the year . . . BB is too busy to care about anything but "offering everyone the complete solution" and lying to you to get everyone to buy the service plan.

Give it a shot you may luck out.

Love the case....very solid purchase.

I also noticed that the 1040 has a 400 watt PS while the 1045 has a 450 watt PS.

GL on finding yours!

Excellent case, very solid construction (i.e. *heavy) - I've got the beige version - great cooling solutions too, though I think I'm going to drill a hole up top for better ventilation... 🙂

Good find, OP.

I have 2 of these, one was labelled as chieftec (slightly different front but rest of case is identical)and one is an antec, excellent cases, easy to work on rock solid, but heavy, IMO, heavy is good, makes the thiefs work harder, no reason to buy aluminum so they can carry it out easier. Great price with that psu.
