Over the weekend I received my second pc?s case replacement (DEER powersupply gone bad). I ordered the Antec SX1030b from newegg. I was upset when I realized what I ordered. The case doesn?t ship with an Antec powersupply. It comes with an Enhanced power supply and no case fans. I was going to replace the case fans, but I wanted the Antec Powersupply. Anyone have any problems with these powersupplies? I?m running a P3-550e and someday a P3-1G.

Also, I?m going to get 4 80mm Silencer fans from PC Power Cooling. I found these to have the highest ratio of cfm/noise and price is good. Are these a good choice for this case?

I want to point out that ordering this case was my fault, not newegg. I should have taken the time to make sure I was ordering exactly what I wanted. Just wanted to share this with all of you.

Ugh. Deer power supplies suck. I've seen them blow up before...but anyway, from what I know Enhance PS's aren't bad, but they ARE loud. Just make sure it's compatible with your chip - i.e. certified by AMD/Intel/whatever and you should be ok. 300W is usually enough to run anything these days anyway.

Your fans sound good. PC Power & Cooling makes great stuff. The SX10xx ships with two case fans already installed, I believe. They are Antec-branded and don't pull much air, so you should replace them.

Thanks madcowdisease. That's another reason I was upset. It didn't come with any fans.

What fan should I replace the internal Enhance Powersupply fan with? Looking for a good cfm/noise ratio with the noise as the priority.:)

I'm running 4 PCP&C Silencers in an SX1000 case, and they are quiet and keep the case very cool. I believe I've read of similar results from others on this forum. I'd strongly recommend the combo.
