The power supply has opening in the back, side, bottom(where heat from my CPU would rise up and get sucked out!!!)

just watch out, because if onvia's system is "messed up" (as the csr said), it will take orders for things that are listed as in stock, even if they aren't. then, they'll just cancel your order out of the blue. argh.

Onvia's system is messed now, the antec sx830 is not in stock and the
csr says Antec does not know when they will ship (no stock at all).

Well I hope the SX1030B case is still in stock, because I just ordered one from Onvia. Does anybody know what comes with the case? Any fans?

Just got mine from Onvia yesterday. Very good case. Comes with 2 extra fans, drive rails, bag of mounting screws, mobo standoffs, keys, and probably something I missed. Much quieter and cooler than my last case. Case temp and cpu temp decreased by 7-10 degrees. Great buy!

Thx for the response. I'm glad it comes w/the fans. Now I don't have to buy any extra fans and I can just throw my current fan in the case, too.

Hey I just noticed that in my last post I moved up to member status. I'm no longer a lowly junior member, heh.

I love my SX1030B, got it from provantage for $99 shipped. And if you want a hot deal on 2 more 80mm fans for the front, outpost has Antec's @ $5 each w/free shipping. Item number #80424.

Bad practice don't do this but a friend of mine bought a sx1030 which came with 2 fans in the back but he called and said the fans are missing so they shipped him another set of 2. He's got all four fans for the case now.

I just checked out my order for the SX1030B at Onvia's website and it said the item is backordered. When I checked out the page for the SX1030B it says that the item is out of stock. This sucks, earlier this morning when I ordered the page said it was in stock. The page for the SX1030 says that it's in stock, but I want the black one.

Well I emailed Onvia asking when the Antec SX1030B would be back in stock and they said that they didn't know, so they cancelled my order. Does anybody know where else I can get this case for about the same price as Onvia w/shipping?

Here is the original email with the response from Onvia.

Hello,

If a product is depleted during a given day, it will continue to list
as
"In Stock" until this status is updated the next day. This means that
in rare situations a product may list as being available when it is
actually on backorder.

The item on your order remains unavailable. Because we cannot
guarantee
an arrival date for this item, this part of your order was cancelled.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, and would like
to offer our assistance. You are welcome to contact us at
1-800-331-2822 for an Estimated Date of Availability for this item or
assistance finding a similar product. Our Customer Service and Sales
teams are always happy to help.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any further questions or
comments.

Sincerely,

John Thompson

Earlier this morning I placed an order for an Antec
SX1030B 10BAY 300W P/S BLACK PERFORMANCE SERIES
WORKSTATION computer case, order#xxxxxx. When I placed
the order the webpage that it's listed on said that
the item was in stock. I just checked my order status
a few minutes ago and now it says that the item is
backordered on my order status page and now the
webpage for the case says that it is out of stock. Why
did the page say that the case was in stock when it
really wasn't? When will the case be back in stock? I
really don't want to wait too long for the case to
come back in stock. Let me know.

www.provantage now has the price jacked up to $86.24 plus shipping, but I could still get it sent to Iowa for $108.19 total. This isn't the best deal, but I haven't seen many better on the Black sx1030 lately.

On the matter of fraud concerning 2 80mm fans, why would you put your neck so far on the line for a lousy $10 bucks worth of fans? It reminds me of a guy a knew that was arrested in a bar for stealing a 50 cent beer. Some people need to put things in perspective.

Onvia has about 50 SX1030's in stock. I didn't check on the SX1030B (black) ones. Free shipping, so this is the best current deal.

Argh - Onvia is quite quickly turning to suck. They cancelled my sx830 order without even having the courtesy of emailing me. I just happened to try to check my shipping info, and noticed my order was cancelled. When I called customer no-service, the guy on the other end just said "oops, that shouldn't have happened." His "idea" of what I should do is try to order it every day until it is in stock because they "aren't taking orders for out-of-stock items any more." This sure doesn't smack of good business practices. Wonder if we'll see a "fire sale" at onvia anytime soon?

Today I received my SX830 that I ordered on 10/19. I am very happy with this case. Much better than my old Enlight. Thanks for turning me on to this deal.

My SX1030B from Onvia will be arriving soon!!! Details below.

Well after my first order was cancelled, I re-ordered the SX1030B at Onvia very early this morning. Then I called Customer Service, like they told me to do in their email response, at about 3pm PST. I asked the CSR when the item that I ordered, SX1030B, was expected to be back in stock and he told me that they just got another shipment in at the Texas warehouse. He told me they would ship my case out on Monday. Later I checked my order status, for the second order, at the website and it has now changed from "In processing" to "shipped", although it doesn't have a tracking #, yet.

I'm glad I didn't order the case from somewhere else and pay $20-40 in shipping costs. This case should be awesome, I can't wait to move my rig over to my new case, when I get it.

I forgot to write that the SX1030B page at Onvia now shows them as being "in stock", so get one now if you want one.
