I got mine from onvia a month ago. A VERY GOOD CASE! The black one looks even cooler, and since you can close the front panel, your white/beige cd-rom and floppy drives won't look "out of landscape". The power supply is 300W (AMD approved), and it comes with 2 rear fans mounted for cooling. You can attached 2 more fans in the front, and everything is rack-mounted. This is a SOLID case, VERY HEAVY.

Anyone seen any good deals on the black one? Or any other decent large cases? My Antec gemstone (midtower) case with Abit BP6, 2 cd-roms, and 3 hard drives has no room to breath anymore.

The best case I ever had!
I just took the front door off the hinges. I don't care what it looks like I just hate opening and closing doors to access drives.
And I love the snap in side rails for the 5.25 drives!

I even had room to fit a second AT power supply to run some extra fans (cut into side door to blow directly on processor) and a couple of drives so that I wouldn't over-tax the ps. (a lot of drives!)

Onvia still owes me a $25 coupon so I think I might order a second one!

They seem to also have the SX830 for around 71 bucks as well. Although has only 8 bays compared to 10, it does seem to add-in a extra 80mm fan. Maybe the SX830 better solution for those interested in a better cooling potential system with a slight trade off for expandiblity?

I recently bought the SX830 from Onvia for ~$83. This is an AWESOME case, it has: a 300 PS, 3 internal 3.5" drive bays (2 external), and mounts for 4-80mm case fans in a large midtower format. This thing seems to weigh twice what my Inwin A500 did and is MACK truck tough. Check out the review at Tech-Report: Tech Report

I wonder why the 830 is the same height as the 1030 given that it is only 8 bay...
it's still 20 inches tall!!

The SX830 looks like a great deal for under $70 shipped using the 5% discount for Chase cardholders, I only wish it was not so tall, they do have the KS-282 cheap (which is the size case I want) but it only has a 230 watt power supply vs the 300 watt SX830

Kirsten,

You can see the inside of the cases at Antec's website:
Pictures of 1030 and 830 cases
You can see it's the same case, the 830 has one more place in front for an intake fan (total of two places for fans in front).
The 1030 has an extra drive bay, but only one place for a front intake fan. (edit: oops forgot, there is a mount for the second fan somewhere, somehow on the additional drive cage.)

I'm with you KBtrade...

I don't want a giant tower sitting around... otherwise this is a great case!

Just to let you guys know, the 1030 is still a great case, and it does have 2 intake fans. The second one is actually in front of the lower hard drive cage, cooling your hard drives.

I recently bought a SX1030B, (black model) at Onvia, and love it. I don't really have anything it yet seeing I'm still buying stuff. But it is a very good quality case. Plenty of room, AMD approved 300wps, both drive cages are quick re-lease, and it comes with 2 fan's mounted in the back. With places for 2 more in front. It is a pretty sweet looking case. Although I feel that the black could have been a darker black.

There may be better, but I defenitly would recommend Antec. And they have good customer service.

Now I feel stupid. I ordered this case 3 days ago for 8 dollars more and paid $20 for shipping too. Too bad it already shipped or I would cancel the order. If you would like to see this case in person before you buy it they have these at Micro-Center so if you have one of these stores in your area you are in luck. And for those of you who don't like the looks of the door, or don't want it in the way.....it is EASILY removed and put back on again, plus it doesn't look very ugly at all without it on.

Onvia has the sx830 for $80 with FREE shipping. Just search for Antec and it will come up. Mine just arrived today. I just whipped out the air wrench a few minutes ago and bolted my motherboard to the case in 6.7 seconds..

Are these cases pretty quiet? I like power, but I don't want it to drown out my music or gaming! :p

Desperately needed though, I'm overloading my 230W already, power management won't allow me to boot occasionally.. :-(
