Antec SX-1030/40

Hi all,

I've been debating which case to go with for my next system and I like the Antec SX-1030/40. A couple q's. Is this case big enough and provide enough air flow to run dual cpu's that might be overclocked?(I wanna build a dual duron sys when it becomes available🙂) How about construction of the case..is it sturdy? Is it loud? Need some feeback from the members who use this case. Thanks in Advance!😎

 

This case is pretty sweet.
Its solid as a rock.
A dual system would fit nicely.
There is no interference with the processors from the power source (300w). Its above all the components and that makes lots of free space.
Get 2 extra fans if you look into a 1030, and put them down at the front for intake and keep the extra 3.5bay bezel (has a easy clip in fan).
The 5 1/4" drive bays have sweet slider rails that attach to yoru drives so you can just click them in and out.
Nice case for the money.
I picked one up on a deal. So it was mass cheap.
But if i knew the quality, id pay full price.

Spacious, fairly solid, excellent stock cooling options. It's only as noisy as the fans you put in it. Even pretty wimpy quiet fans (like my 4 silencers) give very good cooling. Should be fine for dual processor boards, I think Antec says it will accomodate boards as large as 12"H X 13"W. That's big. Very Decent AMD approved PSU with lots of long leads.

Negatives? The front bezel is a #%&@# to remove, luckily you don't have to, the 5-1/4" drives slide in right thru it on rails. The locks wouldn't keep out my six-year-old. I use thumbscrews on the left side panel (free threaded holes) to make the whole assy. really rigid. Tiny reset button, no sleep button. The front door seems flimsy, but has held up so far, even with Kids. It's easy to remove.

Feature for feature, you can't come near it for the money, the only thing even close is the Fong Kai 320.
