How good is the Super Lanboy? Can it fit all my components and do you think it'll be cool and silent enough with them?

Or are there any alternatives? Im looking for a light casing with good airflow, also silent. P160 any good?

My specs:
A64 3500+ Venice - stock replaced with Thermalright XP-90 paired with a Nexus 92mm fan

MSI K8N Neo 4-F (maybe SLI Platinum or the nf4 Platinum) - nb replaced with Zalman ZM-NB47J

PC 3200/400 Corsair CL2.5 1GB (or should i get 2x kingston 512mb rams)

Samsung P120 200GB

MSI NX6600GT - stock replaced with Zalman VF700

Benq DW1640 16x DVD+-RW

Antec True Power 480W v2

Building a silent comp, thinking of replacing casing fans to nexus 120mm or maybe papst, or should i stick with the stocks? Dont like the leds though.

The case is good at cooling. Everything will be a snug fit. I have modded out my superlanboy extensively. I don't have updated pix, but I have removed the harddrive chassis, removed the door, removed all of the fan grills, and exchanged the fans for Yateloon D12SL-12 fans.

The computer is very quiet. It is not silent. No computer is silent unless it has solid-state harddrives which are $1000 per gig.

The powersupply you have will not be very quiet. If you want a very quiet fanned power supply look at the Seasonic S12 500.

I have also lined the right side of the case with 60 durameter rubber. This took down the resonation quite a bit. My WD Raptor is suspended by bungee cords and my 400GB seagate is lying on 4 pieces of sorbothane.

Yeah I just realised with the Super Lanboy, there'll be a lot of vibrations. So maybe i'll go with P160. Sad thing is I cant find a Seasonic here, how are the Enermax Noisetakers?

With almost any aluminum case, there will be resonation problems. Where are you? Seasonic is usually very findable - newegg, pcalchemy, etc.

Isn't that the Passive cooler that is about 2 inches tall? If it is, I doubt you will be able to use it because the PCIe slot will have your video card right over the NB.

actually, if you read the review anand did, it was about gigabyte's I-Ram or something. You can put up to 4 gigs of ram (could be any used generic loose timings...performance doesn't change much) into it, then stick it into a slot and it would act as a 4 gig harddrive. They are silent and way way way less expensive than solid-state HD, costing around $60

The max you can get out of that is 8GB. 8GB? Cmon...even my dad's old computer from 1996 had more than that.

@OP : I would recommend the P160 and Nexus fans, as well as a Seasonic S-12 power supply. The P160 comes with silicone grommets for the HDD's and rubber screws for the back fan.

Seconded.

The Northbridge fan will be noisiest in your list, followed by power supply, followed by case fans. All depends on how much of a silent frea^H^H^H^H enthusiast you are. :p In my Super LAN Boy case I used a TTGI power supply (quieter than my Antec Truepower 430W), a motherboard with stock passive Northbridge cooler, a Zalman 7000AlCu HSF, MSI video card that claims to be quiet. All in all, I have the most quiet machine at LAN parties and at work (used to use it for my work computer between LANs), indeed inaudible in those situations. However, at home I can hear the system running. Not anywhere close to noisy, but it is audible.

I like the super lanboy. Its two 120mm fans along with zalman 7000B and VF700 and my TTGI (w/140mm fan) make a quiet and cool case. With a fan controller it can run almost as quiet as my P180. I like the way the HDDs are oriented and cooled. The case also provider nice and easy cable management. It's also incredibly light. Unless you abuse your case, the flimsiness of the panels shouldn't be a problem. I don't consider the P160 coz it looks butt ugly.
