Antec put some brains into this one, learned a few lessons from their other products.

What you have here is a Sonata family member but with the best airflow in the family. It has the side of the front bezel drilled for much much improved airflow. You can stick some serious fans in there for great airflow. Think of it as a cross between Sonata and P-series

Better PSU, NeoPower 550W (very good PSU), upped from Earthwatts 500W as in my Sonata III.

They are very quiet cases, no problem there.

Overall, good deal, but i would do a little more research if i were you:

I know for a fact that you can find the Rocketfish case for as low as 50$ (contact Aigomorla or Theplaidfad for more info on where you could find one) It has way more room than the Sonata, way better airflow, way better design, extremely quiet (just like the sonata), you'll be extremely well pleased!

That leaves you with an at least extra 100$ to spend on the PSU... Think about it!

Basically an Antec Solo with a honkin' oversize PSU. If you really want to go that way, get a Solo and put one of my EA-380s in it. Save a good chunk of change. And provantage.com beats the crap out of Newegg on Solo pricing. Check Amazon too - might get free shipping there - well, don't bother all they have is one seller selling a used one for about 3x the price of a new one.

My thoughts exactly. Way overpriced too. I've picked up Solos for as cheap as $30 (with free shipping) after rebate, plus they're typically in the $60 range (plus shipping) at Provantage.com. While you're buying from them, see if they still have the $75 (after rebate) Corsair 750W power supply. Basically end up saving a few bucks from the Sonata Plus at Newegg, and end up with a vastly more powerful/valuable/somewhat better PSU.

BTW, I love Antec Solo cases so much that I've purchased three of them. They are compact, don't look boring but don't look like a 14 year old gamerz case, have great airflow and have design elements that make for very quiet systems. These elements are steel construction (weight makes for less resonance), sound deadening panels preattached to the inside, indirect airflow in the front to cut front fan noise, fairly "open" fan grills and my favorite - two ways to soft mount hard drives.

A drawback is that the case may be a bit cramped for some components (and people, but I think it's in their heads). For instance, any video card that extends past a motherboard probably won't fit. This means no 8800GTX, 9800GTX, 9800GX2, 3870x2, 3870 (maybe, not sure of whole list).
