Antec Sonata III with GTX 280?

Been looking at various power supply and cases but I realize that the GTX 280 can draw a lot of power
What do people think of the 500watt power supply in the Antec Sonata III? Do they think it could handle a GTX 280?
I am also thinking of getting a Q9550 CPU and 8gigs of ram with a Aus P5Q Deluxe board.

THanks

Not quite the right forum sames your asking about a PSU; not the case itself but with the setup your going to try. I'm just going to say no; it's not gonna work. In fact any case the comes with a PSU ain't gonna work(considering if you do find a higher wattage PSU with a case; 90% of the time it's gonna be crap due to over-rating cheap-ass manufactures; wow that's a long side thought).

I also think schneider is right; I don't even think it will fit.

Well, the 500W Earthwatts isn't that bad of a PSU (at least the Seasonics weren't but not sure on the the EA500-D). I don't think the GTX280 will even go into the case either.

Well I know that, just I wouldn't limit myself to a 500W with a GTX280, 8GB of ram, quad-core, decent mobo and considering the price he is paying for all that why bother skimping :S it just doesn't make since. (and no I'm not telling him to go buy some 1KW PSU; just buy a stand alone high quality PSU in the 550W-650W range...man I can't type today without hitting the semi-colon for no reason -_-)

Have you been coding a lot lately? I know when I code a lot, I end up typing papers and then ending each line with a semicolon and a carriage return...

Yeah I am trying to make my choice out of what is available from a PC shop near where I live, they are quite cheap but are hopeless on PSUs & cases.
I think I might buy a Antec P182 + Zalman ZM750-HP at another PC shop at a premium price and get the rest of my inside gear my local shop.
