I bought the Antec Sonata III 500 case from newegg along with an OEM harddrive: WD6400AAKS (they will arrive tomorrow). I wanted to know (since harddrive is OEM), would I need a harddrive bracket/cage (not sure of the difference) to install the harddrive into the case? Probably way newbie a question, sorry and thanks in advance =)

If you look at the picture gallery of the Sonata III on the Egg, you'll see that it comes with a slide-in tray for each drive. Nothing extra needed except OEM hard drives don't come with a data cable, so if you don't have one of those of the type your drive requires, then you'll need one. Some retail drives come with a 5" adapter bracket, but most don't need it (now that cases typically have 4 or more HDD bays), and I think that is going away too.

Your motherboard should have two SATA cables by the way.

Nice, another worry gone =) I saw someone somewhere (maybe not even on this forum) bring up hd brackets, so I started panicking even though my current computer didn't seem to need anything extra either, thanks for the info Zepper

DSF: you remembered my mobo too :)! will be expecting two sata cables tomorrow then; everything should be coming in tomorrow, hopefully it will be a smooth assembling process, lates, and thanks
