Antec Sonata: Designer or Plus?

Which one would be more quiet and reliable?

I have the Sonata III and I have to say I do prefer it to either of those designs. The side facing HDD cage is something that I have really come to enjoy.

They are both basically the Antec Solo case which you can get super cheap (check with Froogle and other price search engines) - last I checked, Provantage and TechOnWeb had the best prices, but that has changed since. Then add your choice of PSU. Most don't need more than the EA-380 PSUs like I have for sale in my FS/T thread - linked below. 😀 Have more left to spend on core components.

As Zepper said, they're all the same basic design - how quiet they are will come down to what you put in them. I second his recommendation to get an Antec SOLO and choose your own PSU.

As others have said, they're the same case. The difference is the color scheme and the PSU. One of them comes with a 500W EarthWatts and the other one a 550W NeoHE. Besides modular connectors on the NeoHE, it also has about 8A more combined juice on the +12v rails. They are both reasonably quiet for using 80mm fans.
