i read the specs that it does 79.06 cfm at 29.8 db. I believe it is quiet.... but does it really push out that much air??

how much air will it push out when it's attached to the fan only connector?

I have the Sonata, the rear fan is pretty loud (at least for me) unless I have it on the fan only connector. Obviously I can't give you any CFM ratings other than it moves a bit of air, however I want to replace it since it's a bit loud. The Fan Only connector puts out around 5V usually FYI.

ok thats good then.

but what about when it's connected to the "fan only" connector. the voltage goes down to 5 V and the dba goes down to ~20. So i'm wondering what the cfm is when the fan is connected to the "fan only" connector. anyone know?

I don't remember the exact cfm, but it's pretty low; the solution is to either get the antec 120mm fan with 3 settings (tricool), or a zalman fan controller. I use a "fan only" connector to power a small vantec HD cooler....keeps the fans rpm's low and quiet, as well as keeping the hard drive cool. I would not recommend using those connectors for anything else.

Just my 2 cents....

Get a medium or high speed 120 mm x 38 mm Panaflo and control the fan with the Zalman Fanmate 2. There is no way that fan can move 80cfm with only 30dBA SPL.
