Ok. So I was getting my old busted Antec Solutions 400 watt power supply RMA'd from Antec because it could not hold the rails steady any more as per this thread

In it's place temporarily I put a Antec True330 power supply in it's place, and it held my rails beautifully. Now that I have my brand new Antec Solutions 400 watt delivered from Antec I installed it into my system and guess what? It can't hold my rails steady. I'm getting rails just like the one I got in the thread above.

So is the Antec Solutions series of power supply just Weaker than the Antec True Power?

Test your voltages with a digital multimeter, and tell us what you get with an actual voltage-reading instrument. Software... ...'nuf said.

To answer your other question: the TruePowers have tighter tolerances for their load regulation at all wattage ratings.

not sure if I even need a multimeter

when I stress it, my power supply makes this whiny noise, then my led's dim.

The Antec true330 didn't do that. The lights stayed stable. Does anyone else have problems with this particular product?

update: I put my Radeon 9500 back to stock speeds and that seem to stabilize my system. I guess this particular powersupply can't handle overclocking very well. the AGP slot is the +5v rail i believe.
