Antec Solo 3.5" Adapter doesn't fit card reader...how to best drill hole?

So the short internal media card reader doesn't align with any of the pre-drilled holes of the 5.25 --> 2.5" adapter bay (which I guess was designed for floppies). I asked Antec about this and they told me basically "Too bad...you can drill holes in your media card reader." Well, that doesn't sound like a good idea, so I was wondering how I would drill holes in the adapter? I have NO power tools at all, and I don't want to spend too much on this, but it would be really nice to not have my media reader sit 1 inch behind the bezel.

Thanks!

An option is to use double-sided foam mounting tape. That should hold solidly w/o requiring drilling. Or you could click the link in my Sig. I'll have more of the YE Data combo floppy drive/flash card readers in later today (Wednesday). I sold my first batch pretty quickly.
