I bought one 2 weeks ago, it's a solid power supply. It's very quiet and it's doing a good job in my system. Link to specs. in my sig.

Some people will tell you to avoid Antec at all costs, mostly because of bad experiences. BUT, imo, antec is a solid company, so if the price is right, then i'd go for it. (I'm looking at getting one for my new rig; inexpensive, solid, modular psu).

I've been using Antec power supplies for years now and I've never, ever had one fail on me. I've seen other no name units fail but not one of my Antec units.

Recomended is a bit strong when they do say:

The inability of our first sample to deliver its full rated load is a fairly minor issue, related more to the artificial conditions of our test setup and luck of the draw than a serious design flaw.

I don't like it much, a rather uninspired PSU while there are better value for money ones, better featured and (imo) better names out there in the same price bracket. Having said all of that it's mostly me being picky, it's a solid design and you won't go too far wrong with it.

Edit: Having just browsed newegg i take it back, it's a good choice in that price range, i'd probably still save a bit of cash by going for the fortron 450W for $50.

Yeah, and i just realised i was being unduely harsh on it, the other PSUs in that price range failed to impress other than trusty old Fortron.

I got one 2 weeks ago, built a new computer. I also saw some other good reviews on various sites, all were decent reviews. BUT, read the following review. If you are planning on running SLI, you may need to spend a little more, there are some voltage drops when running SLI.
