According to a few people on the silent pc review forums (people who are obsessive about pc noise......like myself 😛 ) Its silent. Apparently, only the intake fan is on all the time, the rear exhaust fan only kicks in if the temperatures get too high.

I bought TruePower 2.0 380W from Fry's a few weeks ago. How does it compare with this SmartPower? Does the modular design affect the power output in any way?
