I just picked up a Antec SP 2.0 500 watt for $70-20 MIR so $50 total. After getting it I am reading that it is not as performance oriented as the True Power series. If I plan to use this in a OC'd A64 rig (I currently have a Thermaltake 480 powering my OC'd AXP rig) will it work decently?

I don't plan to ever get SLI but am a hardcore gamer. Any thoughts?

amps are 12V1 17a and 12V2 19a. Defintily better than my currently 18A total Thermaltake :)

So this should handle a OC'd system no prob? and no, I am not a uber overclocker, I won't push whatever system I get to the limit, but I do oc a fair bit

its gonna be fine.

the tps are better than sps only when comparing the same voltage, but you have a 500w, wihich is very nice

Thanks!

I wonder how this is going to compare to my current Thermaltake 480...

I just replaced an antec truepower 550 that went bad on me, and I've been on a quest to find the perfect PS. So, I snagged a OCZ modstream 450, and man do I love it. Having everything sleeved and organized makes it so much nicer, and the voltages are really good on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0, and it really juices the +5v line. I hope eventually all PS manufacturers go modular.

Yes, it would handle that and much more.

The Antec I am asking about is modular, though I am not sure about completely sleeved
