Have any of you had the problem of the plastic latch on the front panel door breaking off thus causing the door not to be secured? If so, how did you remedy it?
Thanks!

I read, just like you asked, but mine's not broke.

Just looking at my door, I think yo're gonna have to McGyver a solution there pal.

Maybe if you put some tape on the inside curve of the part of the door that wraps around the side, it would hold it closed. Best way to test the idea is on a broken case.

I also have one of these, and mine is not even being used yet ;). From playing with it though, it looks pretty secure! I hope mine doesn't break lol.

Tullphan,

I emailed Antec support when the front bezel tabs kept breaking (everytime I removed the bezel, which is necessary to clean the air filter). They replaced the bezel at no charge. The new front bezel doesn't break, so I think they made some changes. I would email them with your question. I bet they replace the part for you.

KG = Krazy Glue ;) You can also use velcro... a bit ghetto but effective ( and cheap ).

So, I've got one sitting over there.... the door has two plastic hook latches that slip into the slot. Thus keeping the door closed. No weakness noticed. You broke them both? Or do I have a newer model?

No, I didn't break them. When I got my case, I heard something loose inside the case like the sound of a screw. When I took the tape off the door, it came open & I saw no latch hook. I have the newer version of the case as it has the honeycomb-style intake & exhaust grills.
Antec has e-mailed me & advised a replacement is on the way, but I think i'd like something a little sturdier or better designed.

You just got shipping damage, I sure wouldn't judge the strength of the latches on those results. You're the first person I've heard with broken latches. I've heard of people that have broke the hinges by running into the open door but never the latches.

I've had my 3700AMB for a year now and have probably opened/closed my door 5000 times and the latches are performing just as well as the day I first took it out of the box.

I think Ralf's right. Sounds like shipping damage. I've been opening and closing mine for 3 months now with no problems.

Btw, for those that are not in the know, Ralf has reviewed this case for Silent PC Review. You can check it out here.
