Could someone tell me where the blue&black wire coming out of the power source attaches to my motherboard?

that one lead is driving me nuts. also... what does it do? i don't have it connected to my mobo and everything works just fine.

Link needs fixing(just copy&paste the url address bar linnk into the message text field making sure you have spacing front&after of it & text)
Even so the pic doesn't really show us anything viable to identify what you're talking about.
Maybe an accurate description would be in order!?!

Nevemind.I went and looked at my 350W PSU I took out of my SLK-3700BQE (same PSU I believe) and the blue/black wire with 3-pin attachment plug is for monitoring fan speed. If your motherboard supports it it should plug into one of the FAN 3-pin sockets on your MB.Let's you see fan speed in bios or OS MB software for MB as well if your MB included this on a CD etc.
Also if your MB supports it you can adjust it's throttling(fan speeds) according to temp. tolerances you set manually in bios or that SW.
I see what looks like 2 FAN connectors on that MB pic in the lower left corner of the board(white housing)
They should be labeled FAN1,FAN2 etc. There should be another one like that nearby your CPU socket area(hidden from view in that pic) where your CPU HSF connects to.
Personally I wouldn't(and haven't) connected the PSU fan connector(that blue/black wire) to my FAN connector on the MB,because I use my extra 2 up for my 2 case fans.I'd rather just have the PSU fan running 100% all the time. It's also an exhaust vent for your case heat.Evacuating heat from your case is important.
So bottom line is,you can just leave those hanging(hide 'em)

Thanks for the tip. I thought that's what it was for, but the case fan that came with my case didn't have a 3-pin socket to monitor it. i did end up attaching the PSU fan connector to the mobo, but the program that came with the mobo to monitor the fans didn't even have a display for psu fan monitoring. oh well... it doesn't bother me too much.
