Antec SLI power supply

I decided to upgrade my system to

A64 3200+ Venice
eVGA 7800GT
Abit Fatal1ty AN8 SLI.
I have 3 hard drives( 2 IDE and 1 Sata)

I was looking at buying an ANTEC power supply. I really dont understand about the
2 12v rails and the 24Amp requirement for power supplies. Is it necessary to have 2 12V rails?( I am going to run SLI in future, not right now). If that is the case, what current should the power source supply?

Forgive me for the noobiness!!!. Didnt think I will get a chance to upgrade, so, I wanst following SLI real close. Now I am in a fix. I will be grateful if you can suggest something.

Why the Abit Fatal1ty I know it looks cool and all but why waster 80 buck more over and dfi mobo. Plus the guy is rich cool guy i met himlol . If you want a good PSU go with enermax

So what do you suggest instead of Abit Fatality?
I was thinking about DFI too, but the microguru seemed like a cool thing to get.
What do you think about MSI K8N Neo ( comes with a 24bit Creative Sound blaster codec)
