Antec PP-303X power supply versus his brother PP-253X

Hi,

I have a question concerning the smart fans on these 2 supplies.
I have the PP303X in an Antec SX830 case
I have the PP253X in an Enlight 7237 case

I realize that they both use Smart Fan technology but
it seems that the PP303x fan is blowing much harder
than the PP253x although the internal temp at the power
supply is hotter where the PP253X is located. Shouldn't the PP-253X
be blowing just as much air??

I have the same amount of intake air in both cases
(2-80mm fans up front)

I am just wondering if there is a way to check the PP-253X
so that I am confident it is running at optimum levels
of performance...

Are the fans the same in both supplies???

Swap the fans in the PS and you should see.
