Antec power supply question/situation: need advice/help :)

greetings all.

simple question, but I don't have the answer.
I've got a Antec TruePower 330watt power supply that is dead, something inside it went poof, smelled burning plastic.
As you move the PS around you can hear something inside of it floating around.
Was bought last summer so my first question would be how do I find out if it's still under warranty? (never opended it, so the sticker is still in place)
Second question would be, if it is, how do I go around doing an RMA on it?

I've never done an RMA before and any advice on how to do it properly would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

thanks mechBgon

yeah I'm the original owner, I bought for use in my dad's machine.
knew there had to be a simple answer to it 🙂

I've never had to deal with Antec's RMA department, but I would be interested to hear how they handle things. Let us know how things go. ^^;

i thougt i had a bad ps way back in the day (1997) when i was building my new computer, (tho the following im sure has long since changed by their company policy) they sent me out a new power supply....................... yet never asked for mine back, mine ended up working fine, still to this day, yet i still have that power supply.

they will ask for your info, serial numbers, try this, try that, ok we will send a new one, what is your credit card # so if we never get yours back (or you send bad one first then they send good one out) check www.antec-inc.com they have all the info you need there

cheers
