It's not a 'knock me out' deal but this case is hard to find in stock and this is the best price I could find by about $15. It is a new design and is supposed to be excellent cooling and super-quiet

I can't seem to link directly to the case. Pick cases from the left then AT Mini Tower EMS Computing

I bought my antec sx 840 from EMS computing on november 2001....i called in a week later after i ordered to see if they had shipped it (since they didnt email me a tracking number). i was told then that they dont have those in stock. case finally arrived after 16 days!

get it from newegg. (i ordered the rest of my computer parts from newegg....all of them were at my door within 4 days) the better service is worth the extra 2 bucks!

I got a tracking number the same day that I ordered it. I have checked it on UPS.COM and it's on its way. In fact I doubt I'll be here the day it arrives. Isn't that the way it always is??

Notice the correct use of the apostrophes on the "its" and "it's" 😉

Hey Heinrich... did you get the case yet? What do you think about the placement of that side fan? I'm wondering why they didn't put it higher so that it would be over the CPU. As it is, it looks like it would be somewhere over the PCI slots, maybe over the AGP video card for cooling that which is ok, but I think I'd rather have that extra cooling for the CPU. Also, I heard that Antec installs the side fan blowing in, which seems counter-intuitive to me, especially when there's no filter on that fan yet they have a filter in the front of case. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Here's a picture link again: Text

Is it a great case for the value compared to other cases?

I really don't know right now. I had a Dell P-166 in 1995 that changed to a Celeron 300@450 in I think 1998. At that point I had to swap cases from the "standard" Dell ATX case would not take a different motherboard. I bought a really cheap piece of crap not knowing how important a case is. In late 2000 or very early 2001 I replaced the 300@450 with a 600@850. That's done me until now. All my other components are well upgraded except for motherboard & processor. That will come as soon as I stop travelling a lot in June.

So far, the construction and quality is 500 times better for $85 than the $40 case that I bought several years ago. But I can't say much more than that because I haven't even turned it on and I have so little experience with any other cases. Plugging a DVD drive in was oh so much easier than dealing with drives on this junk case. I wish the instructions were better though, they are rather rushed and not really detailed.

I was going to purchase a $168 / 400w Power PC power supply and a $119 Fong Kai case - almost $300 for case & power supply. I think, judging by reviews and opinions, that this case is quite close at 1/3 the price. Also, the fans I bought were mostly 3 pin tailed. I have some no-tails. I bought mostly 3 pins because I wanted speed to be controlled by the motherboard. Who'd know I'd buy a power supply that had speed controlled 4 pin connectors as part of the functionality of the power supply?

I got the case almost immediately - in two days start counting the day after I ordered. When they said ship immediately, they meant it. Credit card was charged exactly what I expected. Case arrived un damaged and with OK instructions.
