I'm thinking about getting this case because I have read it has good airflow and its a strong case and its only 82 bucks at ebuyer. I'm just going to have a AMD64 3000+, DFI Lanparty, Video card, HDD and a CDBurner in it so it shouldn't run too hot. Should I get an extra fan or 2 more? Also should I consider getting a fan controller? This will be my first build so I wont know EXACTLY how to do everything at first but will learn. If I get 2 extra 80mm fans for this case will there be a lot of sound? Thank you.

my oppinon:
i have the case. it comes with 3 fans i think, but they suck...buy five good fans and a fan controler. it wont be that loud, i dont know what you consider loud but the loudest thing in my system right now is the HD.
its a great case, just watch the front door....it breaks really easy.
and also.: dont_daisy chain more then 3 fans on the "fan only" psu connectors if you use them. trust me :(

comes with 2 back 80mm fans. okay thanks for the input. should I get a zalman fan controller and zalman fans?

Also I dont think noise will bother me too much. I always a fan on and my tv on and my computer hums. I think its the power supply. I got some crappy compaq K-6 board so I only have 2 fans. PSU and cpu fan. But just looking at that Zalman fan controller in other cases just makes me want to spend an extra 30 bucks for it :)

the truepower PSU is almost silent, so you wont have to worry about that. i have 5 fans in mine and all i can hear is air noise which dosnt bother me.
you will want to replace the stock fans with something better, keep that in mind. not sure about a fan controller tho, what i did was just use the two supplied fan controllers and then i got some fans with temp sensors on them and put the temp probes by my cpu/videocard...so it stays nice and cool :)
right now my system temp is 22C at max load (according to MBM5).

Got a similar case (Plus Series), with no major complaints. I do kinda wish they had the HDD cage layout, removable mobo tray and larger mm fans like they do in some of the newer cases, but then again they'd probably be more $$.

I'm not sure it comes with truepower I thought it was smartpower. Even with a 400watt Smartpower that should still get me by with what I need. I hope. Also, are you sure thats the right temp? 22C where in the case?

I've been using the same case only without the door for several years now. First off I can tell you that it's one of the all time classic cases; great build quality, very sturdy, excellent air flow. The downside to the good airflow is that the open front bezel lets noise out so the overall computer will only be as quiet as the components you put inside.

Contrary to what some people are telling you, the stock fans are not all that bad. Try them off the "fan only" plug and see if they are too loud for you. If they are too loud, mod them to run off 7 volts (very easy to do by switching two wires in the 4 pin connector). If they are still too loud, go to jab-tech.com and get a couple, or four, Panaflo L1's. I run two L1's in the back board, and nothing in the front, which provides plenty of cooling. A fan controller is a nice toy but not strictly necessary to get a reasonably quiet system.

Good luck.

yes, the performance series cases come with truepower power supplies. the smartpower ones arent that good.
im not sure about my temps...corecenter reports my sys temp to be 38C (more likely) and MBM 5 reports it to be 24C. its probably in between somewhere. this is at a full load of SETI@ Home. my processor temp is 49C with stock cooling and AS5.

Performace Plus Series have Truepower. Performace II Series have Smartpower. :(
