Antec P280 Positive Pressure

I`ve just bought an Antec P280 which seems ideal apart from the fact that it`s set up for negative pressure. The three 120mm fans are all exhaust so I`d like to move the two top fans to the front and make them intake.

Unfortunately the Antec TwoCool fans only have a short power lead and are attached to the small switch mounted on the controller.

These switches look like they just pop out so do you just leave them dangling from the fan in it`s new position? I would prefer a neater way if anyone has any suggestions.

Just get some more fans to make it positive air pressure with a nice lamptron fan controller.

Just zip tie them someplace. (The switches)

I'm not really familiar with P280's inner workings but I think the case is designed for negative pressure. Positive pressure works better in some cases than others.

Does it get dusty too easily or do you just want to improve temperatures?

Positive pressure seems more logical to me, I just need filters on the intake fans. With a negative pressure case surely I would have to cover every little opening with a filter?

Theoretically, yes. But you should probably test it out first and see how easily or not easily it gets dusty.

My old PC is about four years old and pretty dirty inside so I`d like this one to stay cleaner.

I took the Antec fans out and put two in the front behind the air filter - they are acceptably quiet. I have a Corsair H80 plus AP15 on the back panel and the airflow goes straight through the case, from front to back.

When you first look inside the case the jumble of wires around the controller is confusing but the fans and hi/lo switches come out easily. You can leave the switches hanging from the fans and they still work.
