Antec P182SE Silver Mirror OR Lian Li PC-V1000 PLUS

P182 SE looks better, and will probably be quieter. I'm sure you noticed how the front of the lian li is grilled. Lian Li are said to be really good cases though, no personal experience with them, and they kinda look mundane, or plain to me, not sure what the right word is. I'm voting P182 SE but I'm sure many ppl wil say you won't be dissapointed with either ...

That could be one of my least favorite Lian Li's. By and large, I love the understated look of their product lines - pretty sleek and sexy. My two cents - we see many "help me pick" posts in forums, but I've never seen one where the two products are so dissimilar. Unless you're looking at the the silver V1000 Plus? You don't say one way or the other. I've owned and built both Antec and Lian Li - I love them both. But you get into a price range of 200 bucks and, to me, there is no contest. The Lian Li's will be the best build experience you've ever had - ever. Nothing is poorly fit; tolerances are incredibly tight; their thumbscrews are amazing - hard, easy to turn, and no cross threading at all. No plastic hooks, fasteners, or doors.

I remain skeptical of cases that position the PSU bottom left - I haven't read about any tangible temp benefits. What I have read is that cable management becomes problematic (motherboards aren't set up for this orientation) and that PSU choices are often limited, both in size and orientation. My PSU is setup for a top left setting, intake fan at the bottom of the unit - I'll bet yours is too. Can you flip them over? Sure - but I hope the PSU's internal fan is "okay" with that kind of preload and orientation.

Regards,

Right when I was going to go with the P182SE Mirrored case. I found another one that *seems* almost as good in looks and style.

The Nine Hundred is out.

So I know the P182 Mirror won between it and the Nine Hundred, But what about the Lian Li V1000 Plus ?

Please vote. 🙂

We can't vote again in this thread.

i'd easily take the LL v1000 over the p180/p182. the construction and quality of the lian li cannot even be compared to the antecs. they're in different leagues imo. i've worked on both cases and and have never had anything bend/break/scratch/dent on my LL case. i couldn't say that about the antec.

my vote goes to the LL, i'd easily buy another one if i needed to.

Another vote for the P180. I have the original; the newer one is MUCH better, fixing all the little things that were wrong (cable management!) on the original.

The case is well-cooled and quiet; a rare combination. I'll admit that it can get a little cramped inside, especially if you have a lot of HDs, but once it's built, it's done. 🙂

I'm very happy with mine.
